It's Okay to..........

Hello to all.  So happy to have you here.  Hope you are all well.
My thermometer said it was 40 this morning and it is pretty breezy.  Chilly but not as harsh as the past couple days. We are now back on a warming trend.  Most all snow we had is gone.  It looks to be a bright day!!  That is a treat - as sunny days have been few lately.

Everything about this picture makes me smile!!!   The ultimate winter picture!

Each evening, as my day is winding down - Bitsy is following me all around, then I come in to sit on the couch for a while, and he jumps up too.  He gets right up against my left thigh, and I put my arm around him, and we sit and snuggle for a while.  I watch a little TV and give him loving, and he is snuggled and sleeping.  Every evening!

Yes, it is OK!!!!!!
We all have times in our month or even our weeks, that we just wonder what the heck?  Everyone has a hard time sometimes.  We all question ourselves at times.  Some even just get to a point that starting completely over is the only option.  It is OK!

None of these mean you failed!  You only fail, if you NEVER try again.  A slump is just that - a slump.  There is always some way to get back up and go forward.  If you only go forward a little at a time - that is fine - it is still going forward!

Be kind to yourself.  Of course, we need to be kind to others, but we often forget to be kind to ourselves.  That is so important.  You are enough, you are special, and you are one of a kind.  That is pretty special.
There are all the things in this world that God created, and He created a YOU as well.  That is just awesome.

Sometimes we just all need a little reminder.  I love having you all here, and I find you all terrific.  We are 'another' kind of family.  Family isn't just blood.

I wish you all a beautiful and pleasant day.

  1. Each fresh day is a fresh new start. Native Americans believe each day is a life, a new life.

    1. I like that. Each day really IS a new life. It is what we make of it.
Our area has turkey for .49 at Kroger! Funny how it is different in different areas. All good prices!

  3. Thank you for the reminder to also take care of ourselves and not just others. Cats are the best. Monday we were watching a movie and the first 10-15 minutes Binx was sitting on the coffee table watching too. The dogs barking and running really caught his attention. It was so cute. Moments like that are so nice.

It is neat isn't it? I have seen Bits sit and watch the birds and animals on Tv - you sure wonder what is going through their minds. Precious moments.

  4. Thank you for being such a kind person, Cheryl. I’m new and I’m not frugal like most people are frugal in the old ways but you still understand me. A few years ago I realized that much of my life has been shaped by my lack of confidence but I’m trying to change that in small ways.

It’s another chilly morning here but sunny. I’m going to go to Aldi. I see their canned green beans are on a price drop of .50 so the same price as the Libby’s weekend sale at Winn-Dixie. I have a small list of other items. Hope it isn’t a zoo at Aldi. My contractors should finish much of the tiling today and then they have to be away for two days. I’ll be glad to have two days on my own even though they are nice guys! They’ll be back Saturday or Monday.

    1. Not everyone is or has been frugal - to each their own. BUT we are all still people and deserve to be celebrated. I totally understand. I went through a period of time after my ex, that I just knew no one would care to have me. It took Glen a long time to get me past it. So, I had help. We all need help in life to get through things. Friends or family - it doesn't matter. We can each help one another. I am so glad you are here.
I keep saying I am going to Aldi, and put it off every day! I will get there at some point. Find good deals and happy shopping. Enjoy your quiet!!!!!

    2. I’m lucky that Aldi is only 2-3 miles from me. It sounds like you do really well at Kroger. I’m in an area that doesn’t have a Kroger store but does have Kroger delivery. I’ve never tried it but might look into it just to see if there is a minimum order and a delivery charge. I have seen their trucks here from time to time.

    3. I have yet to do delivery on groceries. I like to look around for the deals - can't see them if someone else is shopping. Glad you have an Aldi close by.

  5. It's warming up at home too and the snow is melting quickly. Here, we continue to be hot (88F today), but the forecast is calling for cold(ish) weather next week. I'm looking forward to the cooler afternoons, as I'll be able to spend more time outdoors.
Bitsy sounds like a lovely cat, so lucky to have found his way to you.

I hope you cool some and get to enjoy the outdoors.
Bitsy is a joy, just realized today, Monday was 2 years ago that he found my house and me!!!

  6. So happy to see the sun! I sure needed it this morning as well as your list of "okays". I often think that I am not worthy of good things. Dunno why...just do. There is nothing more comforting than cuddling with a four-legged baby.

    1. The sun is soooooo nice! You are worthy of all good things. Never forget it. Each of us is special and we deserve so much more than we think.
Oh the cuddles, make all things well in the world.

  7. Bitsy surely must be a contender for World's Luckiest Cat !!!! He definitely picked a winner with you and the luxury life you provide him. Wow, two years he has been with you, that has sure gone fast.
    Take care, Louise.

It has gone quickly. Had Blackie inside too for over a year before he passed.

  8. 2 years you've had Bits? Well, it was 2 years at the end of October that I got my cat. :) Her "Gotcha" day was 25 Oct. I think she's happy here. The vet says she's gained some weight, which was good. So many old cats get thin. Or obese... but I'm not free-feeding her.

What a beautiful day this has been - half day at work, then in the 60s, sunny, light breeze, so I've had a nice little walk (uphill both ways) and am looking forward to split pea soup for supper. Homemade, of course. :) I love your cat picture, and I'd like to do that myself after supper!

    1. Yep, gotcha day (he showed up) 11/10 - he came in a couple weeks later. Once he let me pick him up. Happy anniversary to you and your kitty!!!!
Glad you had a lovely day as well. Being out in them is so nice.
I just loved that picture - the essence of fall/winter to me! Comfy and cozy!

  9. Our snow and ice have disappeared, which is awesome. None is in the forecast as of today, but who knows what the future holds weather wise here.
I always think that failure is just a way of telling one to try something different.

    God bless.
