Just Dance - Doing Your Best

Happy June to you all!  Goodness, how last month flew by. Here we are another new month, another chance to start again if you need.  Not everything happens the first time we try!
Hope you are all good today.
It is a sunny morning in the upper 50's at the moment.  The moon was huge and bright before dawn this morning.  Going to the 70's and breezy today.  It is a little dewy right now, so once it dries some, back out in the yard to finish mowing I will go.  The widows are open and fresh air coming in.  Yesterday was gorgeous as well.

We sure can't choose the music - can we?  We just have to do the best we can, with what we get and DANCE the best dance you can.
Life sure isn't always fair.  Things happen, bad things to good people.  We don't always understand why.  I am sure that someday, it may all be understood.  Lessons in life (I believe that is what a lot is) can teach us things and how to be stronger.

It can be anything from illness, to accidents, to inflation, to jobs, to just daily life.  We cannot always choose the happenings, but we can choose how we react.  That is huge!
Life gets us ALL down now and then - but I try my darndest to make something positive from it.  To go out and do something good, or be extra nice to someone, or to just help in some way.  It just makes me feel better inside, and I know it helps someone else.  Win-win!!!

Sometimes, we are just lucky!  Although I think it is more than luck, I think we experience God moments.  Yesterday I was going out early to run to the store.  I was heading out the door, then stopped and turned around and came back in to give Bitsy a squeeze and a kiss.  Left and got to the end of the street and there was a terrible accident - right where I would turn onto main road.  It had JUST happened, as people were jumping out of cars to go see if anyone needed assistance.  Someone pulling out from our street got t-boned!
I just saw that as a moment, that I stopped and my schedule changed by a scant few seconds - could that have been me?  I don't know - but I sure stopped and thanked God and prayed for those involved.
Listen to THAT voice when you hear it!!!!!!

Even things as simple as going to the store - can be moments that you just have to DANCE and do your best.  Prices are up, YOU have to be vigilant and look and hunt for bargains.  You can make your own dance to the current music.  I noticed yesterday that Kroger has lowered a lot of prices, and more and more people were looking for clearance and deals.  I even had a woman say, 'excuse me for stopping, I was just looking at the clearance'.  I told her that is what I do and basically all I buy!  I totally understood.
Just do what you can where you are and with what you are given.

We lose people in our lives, and we are so sad and lonely.  But I think God was maybe saving that person from worse things.  Or their job here was done - now it is our turn, to do what we must to keep that person 'alive' in hearts and minds.  To learn.  It is all part of the story of life, and we need to make good from it.  It only seems right.

So whatever life throws at you - make the best of it.  I know easy to say and hard to do sometimes!  Been there and done that - but I really do feel this way.
Get out there and DANCE and SHINE and give LOVE out in this world.  It sure needs it.  You need it.  We all need it.

I wish you each the best day.  God loves you!
Thank you for being here and being my friends!

    1. He shows up all over every day and WHEN we need it. Maybe this is why I posted this today - He knew someone needed it. Hugs.

  3. Driving is scary these days. I’m glad that you avoided the accident, Cheryl! I live in a congested county but my little area is not too bad most of the time.

I got a “scary” envelope in the mail yesterday from Medicare. It contained a new Medicare card with a new number for me. It is legit, not a scam. It said “Medicare has found an issue with your Medicare number.” It said to prevent fraud they were issuing this new card. I called Medicare to see if I should notify my Medigap and Part D plans. The Medicare rep was not at all helpful so I’ll do what I think is best. Googling this language, I discovered that the government is sending out 1.6 million new Medicare cards. (One story said 2.6 million.) On a financial website I read, two people have posted about receiving new cards.

Looking at my Medicare.gov account online, everything looks in order so I don’t think my card was compromised - or at least not used yet. I am careful with my Medicare and SS numbers. I do know, however, that the hospital system affiliated with the doctor who removed my kidney four years ago had an information breach in the past year. I still see him once a year. The pain is this new card takes effect the day I leave for vacation. I don’t want to contact my Medigap until that date in case a doctor bill (I have an appointment tomorrow) does not clear until then. I imagine we’ll see more of this type of fraud in the future. 1. There are so many scams today and they make it very hard to tell. I had a friend that passed recently, and I found out she fell for many of them. They thrive on the elderly. I am glad you did your do diligence to find out the correct thing. That is something I had not heard of. Guess we all need to keep our eyes open. Thanks.

  5. Superb post! Oh yes, your designated messenger delayed you just those few seconds to protect you from danger. There have been several times our messenger has saved us from disaster. I wonder if we will ever know the name of our personal angel? We need to dance to the music we are given. My mantra is "it could always be worse". Be grateful, folks!

It certainly is beautiful today! Finished planting all the annuals and the few perennials yesterday. Need to make sure they are watered for a few days, while they establish good, strong roots. Still a bit of weeding to be done in the gardens, and then need to consider finishing the front and and side of the house.

    Enjoy your day!

    1. It sure could be worse!! I know at times we think not - but there is always someone hurting or needing more than we are. We are so fortunate and blessed in so many ways. We just need to keep eyes wide open!!!!
It is absolutely beautiful today. Such a lovely breeze. I was out all morning doing yard work, and never even got too hot. Just lovely. Perfect day for yardwork.

I had commented quite some time ago & just want to reiterate; thank you for doing your blog, for your thoughts, ideas, tips & encouragement. Thank you for a place of positivity. It's a place I look forward to visiting during the week. Appreciated your post this AM. And bless your heart for caring for all those kitties. You do have to do what is best for them & for you but so great of you to care for them now. So many critters need care & special people like you step up. Have a great day! Lil in Western Colorado

    1. Hi Lil!!!! Glad to have a name. So happy to have you here.
Thank you very kindly for your sweet words. My blog started as a fluke sort of, and then I found my groove. I love doing this, it is fun to make new friends and we just all help each so much. I love our little community. Glad you are here to join us.
I am an animal lover through and through - so I do what I can. I had over 10 cats at one time that I took care of in our little colony (years ago). Some think I am nuts, others get it. Either way, I do what I can.

    2. Glad you missed the accident. Funny how these things happen, yes? :) Thanks to Bits for calling you back in for a moment.

Late to the party with planting - the summer squash seeds I had planted didn't make it, so today I bought some more, different brand. I know it's really late, but I'm putting them in anyway. Deer, bunnies, bears... everyone is hungry.

Every day I am grateful for my little job, for my car, for my home, for my family. I cannot begin to list all the things I'm grateful for.... it goes on and on!

Very interesting about the Medicare card, I'll keep my eyes open for that. I've not heard anything about it elsewhere, so glad Barbara M mentioned it. Fraud. Sigh. :( One of my medical doctor places was hacked a year or so ago. Nothing I could do about it at all. Did lock my accounts at the credit bureaus though.

Dance, ah yes, we do need to dance. I've been reading the Old Testament and dance shows up over and over.

    4. Mary - daddy always said it was too early to plant before Memorial Day anyway. So you are just a week or two out. He always said the ground wasn't warm enough to make roots thrive.
I have my credit locked as well. No one can set up an account in my name at (even me unless I unlock). I have had it locked for years.
We just have abundance - truly we do. Blessings galore.

    1. It sure makes you stop and think - but just an instant life can change. I sure hope those involved in the wreck are ok.
We need to be still and listen to that voice.
We sure do - so many blessings.
