They also stay white after drying without any help. I think there is another one that does this too but not sure of which one right now. Best applesauce to me is to use several different kinds in the same batch. We like chunky canned applesauce with no sugar. I do though can some in half pint jars or even smaller ones that I make very creamy smooth in the blender before canning. I mainly use those to use as a substitute for fat or eggs in recipes. Or for a visiting baby to eat. ! :-) SarahAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07518890439437412523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7341912661779864632.post-34853874433797087292018-10-21T10:36:56.354-04:002018-10-21T10:36:56.354-04:00Thanks. Recently, on my blog, I posted how I was perplexted that people would visit but no comment and then I realized that I do the same thing! so, I am making sure I comment when I visit, if only with a "hi". I do enjoy your blog and read it regularly so, if you see a "hi" in the comments, you will know it was me.Boyett-Brinkleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02066753762645278933noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7341912661779864632.post-34209503787385406652018-10-20T14:19:06.028-04:002018-10-20T14:19:06.028-04:00I have never heard f that apple. One day there was like these basketball size squash out there!! I went to pick the last of the eggplant the other day, the plant was eated way down and no eggplants what so ever. Seems one of the cows beat me to it!! I'm still trying to get all my tomatoes canned up. The tips on tuesday were helpful, I have one. Bananas last longer sealed in a plastic bag. The key is to keep them sealed! I also need to try the candy recipes! Maybe if you make yogurt or bread. Biscuits, pancakes and waffles can all be wrapped and frozen as well - so you could keep and use as you needed. You could also freeze in cubes to use in 'cream of' soup or gravies later.

Hope you feel better and get past the heath issues quickly.
Have a good day!Cheryl Kimbleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06485771676254429681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7341912661779864632.post-65751939192229794352018-10-18T19:23:41.221-04:002018-10-18T19:23:41.221-04:00Well I was so excited to comment I put it on the w...Well I was so excited to comment I put it on the wrong post It was supposed to go on the post before this re Money saving tips!Help. What to do with celery. I used to cook and eat it raw so much it never had a chance to spoil. Now at 83, I still cook for myself, but now I don't so I've been throwing it out much to my dismay. Thanks for that tip especially - I do almost all of the other things.
My question today is: Due to dealing with a minor health issue this past week I just opened a 1 qt container of 2% milk. I knew the expiration date said 10/19/19 which is tomorrow. I've never concerned myself because I either freeze milk and other foods or they generally last longer than the date stated. This milk had already turned. Since I no longer drive any ideas on how to use it? (Back in the day I would have jumped in the car and returned it!) I really hope I don't have to throw it out. Thanks so much!
