Next layer of 'branches' is a slightly smaller star, next is smaller and finish with two of the littlest stars. Poke a hole in the middle of each star, hole is bigger than the dowel diameter. Bake and decorate.

Some decorators use royal icing, some sprinkles, some both, let your imagination go wild as you decorate each branch/layer of the tree.

Stack the layers with gum drop separators/ if the little gum drops use three around the dowel, if the big ones you might be able to put the dowel through it. Sometimes I have used gummy lifesavers, two per layer.

The star on top, sandwich on each side of the dowel standing up, not horizontal layer. Use royal icing to glue it to the dowel and each other.EllenMBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16862195995276660737noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7341912661779864632.post-2483760454993992232015-12-17T19:32:57.802-05:002015-12-17T19:32:57.802-05:00Cheryl, Do you know what Ellen's sugar cookie ...Cheryl, Do you know what Ellen's sugar cookie tree is? And he checked the Family Money Jar, and we do have some cash for groceries until Dec. 30th payday.
