Todays post has nothing to do with being frugal. It is personal. I try not to get too personal on here, but my family could use every prayer we can get.
My oldest brother Ron had a massive stroke this morning. They can't fix the blockage, as he is too fragile at the moment, so that just means the problem will get worse. They say the odds of having another are great. His right side is paralyzed and he can't speak. Not sure if he even knows anyone.
Please say a prayer for him.
If you knew my brother, you'd know this would be an awful situation for him. He talks and talks and talks, never meeting a stranger. He is extremely social and loves to have fun and get with family and friends.
He would never want to be like this.
We are praying for God's mercies upon him - whatever that may be.
I LOVE YOU RON.
Thank you and God bless you all.
Oh Cheryl, sorry to hear this and yes, of course, all prayers past present and future go with your Ron and the rest of the family! Keep us apprised okay? I pray that he will find some peace in this terrible event.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Ellen. It is appreciated greatly.
DeleteI am so sorry. I just read this and immediately prayed for him and also for all of you in his family that love him so very much. I hope you will take comfort in knowing that my father went through this and was able to make a strong comeback through therapy. He does have some memory lapses but the paralysis is gone and he can do all the things he loved to do beforehand, including fishing in big tournaments. He and my mom are coming over for a visit this Friday and we are so looking forward to it. Big ((((HUGS)))) to you.
ReplyDeleteDebbie thank you for your prayers. Also thank you for such encouraging words. Doctor says the next 2 - 3 days will tell the tale.
DeleteI am so glad your dad is doing so well. I hope we experience the same goodness.
So sorry to hear this. I have been following your blog for a while and really enjoy it. I stopped and said a prayer for you and your brother and family as soon as I read this. I will continue to pray. Even if you aren't sure if he knows you continue to talk positive around him and treat him as if he can hear you. I worked in a hospital for many years and we had patients who said they heard everything we said in the room - lucky for all my boss was a stickler for being positive and encouraging. Prayers sent for you and your family. Take care.
ReplyDeleteCrystal thank you so much. I know God has this and we have to trust Him. Will be ever so positive around Ron.
DeleteThank you for following this frugal journey and for your kind words.
Dear Cheryl, I have never commented before. Been a follower for short time and have been spending the last few days catching up on all your posts and have been enjoying them very much. So very sorry to hear the news about your brother Ron. I will keep your brother in my prayers. God bless from Liz in Cranebrook Australia.
ReplyDeleteLiz thank you so very much. We can use every prayer we can get.
