I have really become fond of blogging. It is a fun outlet for me.
The BEST part is getting to form friendships and have contact with folks all around the globe!
I think that is the greatest gift ever. Where else can you have such fun and 'meet' so many diverse people?
YOU are important to me - without you this blog is nothing.
I have lots of ideas written down in my notebook for future posts - BUT I would love to know what you all want to read about.
What do you want to learn about?
What do you want to read?
What do you want us to share?
Do you have any suggestions to improve the blog?
I REALLY DO WANT TO KNOW. SO PLEASE HELP ME - LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR IDEAS!
Thank you,
Cheryl
Cheryl, I enjoy your blog even though I don't comment often. I really enjoy and get inspiration from frugal living type writings ... real life stretching our dollars kind of things.
ReplyDeletepatsy - thanks. That I can do.
DeleteI really enjoy your blog! I enjoy the frugal living posts and ways to save money. Thanks for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely continue frugal living posts. Thanks Kathy.
DeleteI like your homemade recipes, like the leftover rice quiche crust. And I just enjoy your writing about day to day money saving tips.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you find the recipes helpful. I will definitely keep going on those kind of things.
DeleteThanks Karen
A search function would be nice so as to find your recipes.
ReplyDeleteSue that is a great idea. I have to do some research on that one. I am not the most computer literate person!
DeleteI will try to figure that out. Be patient - it may take me awhile!
I enjoy reading your frugal living posts and have tried several of your recipes. I agree that easier access to your recipes would be great! :)
ReplyDeleteAngela -I will try to figure something out on recipe access.
DeleteGlad you find the blog useful
I love the frugal info! Maybe something like a challenge every month? Or highlight/feature section? I do love the blog on whole though. The recipes, yes! Good stuff. :)
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm - a challenge! I will do some thinking on that one too!
DeleteGood ideas - I'll see what I can do.
Thank you.
I love your blog -the encouragement you give is priceless! Do you have different canning recipes?
ReplyDeleteVickie - it is that time of the year isn't it? I'll go through my canning recipes.
DeleteThank for your kind words.
Hi Cheryl, I am very new to your blog - found it thanks to Patsy - and my absolute favourite kind of post is day-to-day frugal living.I don't have a real life community of like minded ladies, so depend on ladies online to remind me that I am not alone in trying to live a "champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget".
ReplyDeleteAllegra. You have a community here and with Patsy for sure. I don't think our communities have to be face to face - if we share and encourage - that is what is important.
DeleteI love the phrase you used. I haven't heard that for a while!!!!
I am glad you have come along for the journey!
I'm a new reader too. I love anything frugal related, a glimpse into your real life everyday, etc. I am constantly looking for like minded bloggers!
ReplyDeletePenpen - frugal related I can do. I don't think my life is real exciting - but it is frugal.
DeleteI do the same - I like following people with the same mindset!
I love your blog - I have adopted your "Sub-Pantry" ideas and it is working out great for me (keeps me out of the restaurants on the "I don't want to cook" nights). I love any frugal related tips/recipes/anything frugal. I like mixes that do double duty too. Thanks, Cindy
ReplyDeleteGot it Cindy. I am glad the sub-pantry idea is working for you too. It sure is handy!
DeleteCheryl, your blog is an absolute favorite of mine. I rarely comment, but I always read! As others have mentioned, the recipes...oh my, the recipes. I read the one for Hot German potato salad and boy, did it bring back memories. Haven't had it in years, but I made it that evening. Ate so much I felt like a fat tick! (My mom used hot dogs when we had no bacon.)
ReplyDeleteYour frugal ideas are so awesome; as old as I am, I still learn so much from you, so please keep those coming as well. I get so tickled with myself when I've found a new way to save a bit. Mindy
Melinda - German potato salad is one thing that I love, because my Mom always made it. It brings back memories here too.
DeleteHey kiddo, this gal is not a youngster either - but we are never too old to learn.
My daddy told me, a successful day was going to bed and thinking of one new thing you learned that day!
Thank you for your sweet compliment.
Hi Cheryl, I've "known" you for several years now, before the blog! Always learning is part of the frugal lifestyle, what with the limitation on couponing, and the invention of savings through ibotta, etc, and digital coupons. Knowing where to shop to save money, and what to put that extra money into, we all need help from time to time with that. How to keep warm or cool for less is always helpful too. Just keep doing what you do, and sharing it with us. We appreciate all the help we can get, and a forum to share anything new with .
ReplyDeleteAwww thanks Norma. Yep, we have been sharing frugal tips for years now.
DeleteWe all need to work together and share - that is what works the best.
Thank you
I enjoy posts on wise consumption---such as a no paper kitchen, saving on electricity, growing your own food from saved seeds, etc. I love to save on every little thing that I do. I live in a large metropolitan area with a highly successful professional husband but I was just born to be frugal. I keep telling him it is a disease and something that that is inheritent in my being. Love you down to earth posts.
ReplyDeleteI believe it is in the blood as well. Just because we make good money doesn't mean we shouldn't be good steward of it!
DeleteI was raised frugal as well (because it was necessary), and started being that way myself out of necessity - then it became habit. I am thankful for my parents showing me how.
Thanks for following along.
Perhaps do a weekly $5 challenge.
ReplyDeleteGood idea - I will work on new ideas. Thank you
DeleteMy mind is pretty much blank right now! I do enjoy making mixes and if there is any new tip to be frugal. Have a good week-end!! Nancy
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy. Enjoy your visits.
DeleteI have loved everything that you have shared so far. I would love to hear more about your childhood though and some of the wonderful people who influenced you on your frugal journey. :) I hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I would love to do that. I don't need a lot of encouragement to talk about those lovely people!
DeleteI have always worried people would think the blog was more like a diary than a learning experience. I don't want to bore anyone - but will work in stories along the way! Thanks for saying that!
A diary is a learning experience! We learn from your experience and add to the body of knowledge when we make adjustments to your suggestions. I like the format you use and the listing each week of your menus.
ReplyDeleteIf you figure out how to do the searchable business (for recipes), maybe you can apply it for searchable words (like searchable .pdf ?)
It is easy to be frugal for a day, for a week, for a month, but to do it month after month and year after year and still be joyful about it, that is what I get most from your blog - constancy and ease and calm.
