Good morning to all. It is a chilly frosty morning here. Looks to get to 60F today, and much less wind than yesterday. Yesterday was gorgeous - 70F and sunny, but very windy. Looks like it will get downright cold by Monday! Below freezing cold at night!! That will be our first freeze.
This morning that big old bright orb, we call the moon was in the West sky, and pink puffy clouds were in the East. Just so pretty.
This morning, the kitties outside were so happy to see me - LOL - and they were all talking. "Food now"!! Bitsy woke me this morning, by scratching at his post and softly talking. Jay the big old bluejay was out there calling out, "peanuts are out". The sky was glorious. I could see my breath - I have breath to see!!! The sun is shining. My house is warm. Yep, those moments are precious. They are joy. I am so thankful and grateful.
I hope you all have a great weekend, whether it is cold or warm out. There are a couple of fall bazaars this weekend, not sure if I will make them or not. I like to look but can't think of a thing I need. I do think when the colder weather sets in for a few days, that will give me a good excuse to work on crafting some. I sure won't be working outside.
Staying in, comfort food, catching up on shows, and snuggling with Bits sounds nice.
Bazaars, fall harvest festivals, crafting, snuggling, seeing the sites, planning the holidays, shopping, inventory the pantry and freezer.................. what is on your agenda?
Whatever you do - do it with joy and know that you are soooooo blessed to have choices.
Have a wonderful day and weekend.
GIVE THANKS EACH DAY

The turtle is so right..."Don't let the pursuit of tomorrow diminish the joy of today." I was reading that very sentiment in Luke this morning during my morning Scripture study.
ReplyDeleteSure is pretty now but we are bracing for the colder temps. Haven't brought the garden hoses in yet and have some other chores left to do. The Farmer put the snowblower in the garage and we need to get the gas can filled. Pray that we don't need it!
We haven't been to any fall festivals in years. The Covered Bridge Festival got so it had a lot of junky stuff for sale instead of the nice hand-crafted things. No reason to go to Brown County to see leaves when our neighborhood has lots of mature trees of all kinds.
Fresh Thyme has grass-fed ground beef for $3.99 a pound. We may go there after while to see if they actually have it.
Enjoy your weekend! I'm sure you have lots of cozy socks, throws and of course, Bits to snuggle.
We are always chasing something aren't we?
DeleteIt is pretty. Went out and bagged some stuff I cut yesterday. Walked. It will be cold, but only a few days then we get reprieve again. I am OK with that.
Yes mam, I went to Covered Bridge several times - but same stuff every year. Brown County - just too many people.
That is a great deal on ground beef - haven't been there in ages.
Indeed, more than enough things to keep cozy!
Yes the Bazaar season has started. I like to look too but I don't need anything either. There is one Bazaar that we like to go to so maybe we'll hit it up this year. I get burnt out by going to too many. It's still raining here, I would love to have some colder nights. Can't even see the moon. My son is coming down for Thanksgiving this year, we are so excited to have him here. Usually we only get to see him in the spring on his vacation. But he got an extra day off so he can come for 3 days. So I need to get the extra bedroom straightened up. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYes, the bazaars have started. I really haven't gone to any for a few years. They are fun to look.
DeleteToo bad you didn't to see the moon - it has been so pretty.
I love that your son is coming home - this will be a Thanksgiving to remember for you. Neat that he will be there for a long weekend. He sure does work a lot.
I bet the room will be so comfy and cozy by the time he arrives. Happy for you!!!
Richard works an odd shift, 7 days on 4 days off and 8 days on 2 days off. He works for Dairygold milk at the processing plant. So he has a floater day he is taking for the day after T-day. Then he works again on Saturday. He works swing shift. It will be a short time but we love having him here.
DeleteI would not like those hours - but heck, you do what you got to do. He has been there a while from what I remember, so hopefully they trat him well!
DeleteIt sure would be nice if he got to spend the weekend too - but I am just glad you got him for a couple days AT a holiday!!!!
Not Bossy here...Cheryl I feel your joy! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you. It makes me feel good that others seem to get 'me'. Life is too short to be unhappy.
DeleteI am thankful every day. But I will admit that I do look forward and count the days until certain events. Have a great weekend, Cheryl!
ReplyDeleteI think we all do. I know I do, when it comes to seeing family or friends. ENJOY
DeleteI think my comment got eaten... :(
ReplyDeleteMaryB
I looked, but don't see one. I hate when that happens. Maybe try again!!!
DeleteEach day brings happiness and joy. Today Harvey got in to see his new doctor (mine) and likes her so that is a relief. She is so good and has already told him that if there seems to be a problem with his ECG she will be setting up an Echocardiogram for him immediately. He has an enlarged heart so this is wonderful. I love being inside and working on projects. Those bring me great joy.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Glad you both like the doctor and that she seems to be on top of things. So important.
DeleteI love outdoors - but sometimes I just am ready to stay in and hibernate.
Today will be busy for me as I’m going outside to work in the shed, have a tutoring session after school and then Bailey and I are going to a bag sale at the thrift store tonight. I’ll sleep good tonight for sure. 😂
ReplyDeleteGoodness, that is a lot to fit in one day. Hope you accomplish it all and feel satisfied tonight. Sleep well.
