A Loaf is a Loaf

Wintertime is when we all seem to make more sweet or savory breads.  I like to make smaller ones for gifting.  I do that at home sometimes as well, just so we won't be temped to eat too much right off the bat!!!  (I wrap and freeze extras).

It is so easy to make several at a time and put some in reserve.
Do you know how much batter is needed for various size pans?  Me neither.  I usually just kind of wing it and hope I evenly spread it out.
Here is our answer!

Hope this helps you with your yummy winter baking!

    1. Well I always adjust time a little - but not an exact science here. Less baking on mini pans.
I will have to check around and see if I can find a chart.
      Great point!
      Thanks.

    2. I bought some really neat Christmasy ceramic loaf pans ...holding about 2 cups and have hesitated to use them since I am not sure how long to bake a bread in them...

    3. I have been reading around - not found any charts yet. Most say for smaller pans to turn heat down 25* and just keep watch of doneness. After 20-25 minutes dip a toothpick in the center to check.

I have some cute ceramic mini pans I bought a few years back. My plan is to bake breads in foil pans - then remove then and wrap in plastic wrap and gift in the ceramic pans.

      I'll keep looking!

  2. Great list...will watch for cooking times. You'd think they'd be together, huh?

    1. Kind of what I thought too. I have not seen any lists about cooking time - except lower temp by 25*.
