Hello to all this Thursday. Gosh, here we are in the second half of the month - amazing. I hope you are all well and safe.
Another warm morning here, windy and cloudy, but warmer. We had a little shower yesterday afternoon, but nothing to get excited about. Rain supposedly coming in today. We could use a little. I can't believe that some of you are still getting significant snow! Incredible. I wish warm weather for you. I know you will most assuredly enjoy it when it comes.
Take time to truly enjoy and claim all the good in this world. I know things are going on out there, I am not in a hole - but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy all the special things. Celebrate them - if each and everyone did that, life would be great.
Be grateful for:
family and friends
your loving and sweet pets
your home - you have shelter
food on the table - no matter what it is - you are fortunate
the birds singing - you can hear them
for all the friends we have here - for all the tips, help and love each one offers the others
the changing seasons - they keep all things in check
fresh air and sunshine
hearing and seeing little ones play and laugh
The list goes on and on...................
I hope each and every one can reach out in SOME way to another and spread joy and love. Give a hand up. Help keep your area neat and clean. Plant some pretty flowers - others do enjoy. Feed an animal - they are God's as well. Smile or say a kind word to someone. Share an idea.
Anything - small things are the best and they can totally change a day.
I hope each one can live in joy and happiness.
Not negativity, anger and hatred (it accomplishes nothing).
You have a choice. Make it a positive one.
Have a super day and weekend.
Embrace joy and spread that stuff everywhere!!!!!!!!

Yes, there is so much to be grateful for! :) So often we bitch, moan, and complain - and forget and overlook the joys surrounding us. Funny how that works.

You are so right - 100%. Sometimes there are people that I believe are 'happier' being miserable if you know what I mean.
DeleteI choose joy!
The small things mean a lot. Doesn't have to be big and showy, "look at me, look at me!!". Kvetching will put you in a nasty mood real quick and keep it up, and boom, you have no blessings at all. You wouldn't say to someone who just presented you with a gift you had been praying for and say, "ew, that's horrible, not what I wanted at all". Yet, people do this to the Giver of all things, our Creator. This follows along with my morning Scripture reading in 1 Timothy 6: v. "But reverence with contentment is great gain."; v. 8: "When we have food and covering, we shall be satisfied with these.". Excellent poster...pinned to my Quotes board on Pinterest. Enough with the negative attitude! Wash it and make it shine instead.
ReplyDeleteAs the farmers say, "We could use some rain.". See you on Sunday!
Yes mam. We have the control of ourselves - choose to be miserable and you will be. Simple as that. Even when bad things happen - there is still something to be grateful for.
DeleteGreat scripture. I like that "wash it and make it shine instead".
Finding joy in the small things and realizing how much I have to be grateful for is something I do every day. My Dad told me at a very young age that there will always be people who have more or are smarter and there will always be people that have less and aren't. So, I've always just lived my life in my way and am thankful every day. Enjoy the rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteEach day and everything is a gift.
DeleteDad was so right. There are always 2 sides to every story and we are in the middle. There is better and there is worse.
So grateful for all the gifts.
What a lovely post!
