What Say You?

Good morning all.
Some days I just can't decide what to post about.  Days turn into weeks and those into months and those into years - and my mind goes blank!

I have lists of ideas to post about, but somedays I just wing it.  Funny, those seems to be the posts that I get the most comments on!  So I never really know.
I get bored and wonder if you do as well.  I sure don't want you do get bored while visiting.  I don't want the blog to become stale.

I do have some ideas for future posts that I think many will find informative.
**I plan on posting about more "jar" recipes for your pantry and  for gifting.
**I do plan on writing soon about preemptive measures that need to take to insure your survivors are covered and taken care of.
**I plan on giving tips on things to do AFTER the worst has happened in life
**Of course recipes here and there
**I keep trying to come up with and find new ideas on saving and being resourceful
**Frugal gift ideas and tips for the holidays

I know a request in the past has been for the blog to have and index - to find things quicker and easily.  I have tried to figure this out - quite unsuccessfully I might ad.  I won't stop trying.

I don't want to do ALL the posts about me.   My life is not exciting and that for sure would bore people.  I do the Weekly Wrap-Up and I think that is a big enough dose of me!!  LOL
Now I do like to post about memories and the old days and ways of my family.  They taught me about life - and that is worth sharing.  Memories can take us to a different, lovely and simple time and those are just fun - hopefully not just for me.

So what say you?  What do you want to see?  What are your interests?
Let me know your ideas.  I want to keep you happy and interactive and that means I need a boost of brain power!

  1. I think your blog should about YOU! Those are the posts I most enjoy, no matter what you're doing - it's all interesting to me. I also wanted to tell you how much I admire your grace and fortitude after your husband's death - you have been an inspiration to me in that, and in other things, too

    1. God bless you Susan. Thank you and what kind words. I don't feel 'grace and fortitude' sometimes for sure. It has been the worst experience of my life - but I have no choice but to go forward. He would want that I know.
I just wish I could find my 'place' now.
Thank you again for your sweet words and for being here. It means the world to me.

  2. One simple way to make it easier for posts to be found, is by adding a search box. Search boxes are a big help in finding recipes and blog posts that are not categorized. The search box can be found on blogger under the page layout and then add a gadget. Hope this helps and you have a wonderful day!

P.S. I enjoy your posts and appreciate the time and effort you put into helping others save money!

  7. I'm curious about who you watch or read in the frugal community and what you learned from them. Perhaps a colaboration article or interview.
You may have already done this but I also love to hear insight into what to do when finances are really tough like a job loss or huge bill. How did you cope? If you have done this maybe you can have a "best of frugal corner" day where you share past popular article and update on them.-Kathryn in WA

I love hearing about Your days. Maybe share some of the Youtube things you watch. But mostly I like your blog the way it is.

  15. I know I haven't left a comment in a while. I love your posts about you and your life. I glean more frugal info from those than the educational posts. I love blogs about frugal life. That is what we are living. I think a lot of people struggle with examples that this is what a frugal life looks like- gardening, going to the grocery store. I love your posts about feeding squirrels, or picking grapes or even fixing your sink. I took a lot of inspiration from because DH & I have to do that this weekend. It might have seemed simple to write about but you eased my mind about this sink thing. :) Precious lady write about being frugal you.

Thank you. I guess the simple things in life ARE the best things. I hope you have luck with your sink project. It took a while - but worth doing and saved a lot by not having a plumber here!

Thank you for your words. I guess I just keep doing what I am doing for the most part.
      Keep in touch.

  17. I enjoy blogs about the person!! Life and memories!! I avoid any that get into politics and especially those that put pictures of politicians on their posts. That is their opinion but I don't want to share some! I don't want a million recipes! A million pictures either. Some of my favorites are yours and Nanaland! Hers is perfect so far! So is yours!!!! I enjoy your blog! I don't reply because the iPad sometimes causes problems when I try!

    1. Thank you Brenda. I don't do politics either. I may give a personal opinion on how something affects me - but try to steer way away from politics. That is very personal to everyone.
I really appreciate your comments and I am glad you are here.
      Thank you!
