The Count Down has Started

Well here we are at the end of another decade in our lives.  In less than a week a new year and a new decade will start.  Will this be the 'roaring 20's' ??!!!
We sure never know how the year will be.
We make changes and  changes make us.

I do not like resolutions.  They are just statements that we make that end up making feel bad, because most often we do not follow through.  I don't like intentionally making myself fail!

I may make some simple goals that I know I can accomplish.  The above it definitely doable.  If we want positive change, that is totally up to us.  You don't have to do things that are drastic or dramatic - just small things that make difference.

Smile more.  Unfollow negative people and things.  Show gratitude.  Get rid of clutter.  Get excited about little things.  Do kind things for others.  Try something new...……….etc.
AREN'T THESE THINGS WE CAN ALL DO?  They don't cost a cent and can make such a difference in our lives and in other's lives.

Small acts can make us a success.  Isn't being successful and happy what life is about?

Let us make 2020 a great year.
Let us all continue to offer encouragement and advice to each other.  Share ideas and heart felt emotions.  Let us make this new year a new start - to going forward and making changes in a good way.  Honoring others by moving forward and doing good.

In a week we get back to making new posts about being thrifty and frugal.  YAY!
I so look forward to spending the year chatting and sharing with all my friends here.  I love you guys and appreciate you more than you can possibly know.
HERE'S TO ANOTHER YEAR OF LEARNING AND SHARING!

  1. I don't do resolutions either. I pick 4-5 areas that I want to focus on, such as relationships, finances, etc. This year I am really going to be mindful to stay in the moment and make each and every day special. The phrase "run your day or the day will run you" is going to be my mantra this year. Along with In omnia paratus. I'm excited about a new year and a new decade.
Happy New Year to you! I look forward to your posts.

  3. I don’t do resolutions either! I prefer to look at areas of my life that I want to improve on and work at it on a day to day basis rather than trying to make broad statements for my whole year.

    1. I do believe we set ourselves to fail when we make a resolutions and tell the world bout them! Sounds silly - but it seems to be true.
Yes mam, if we work on smaller issues day to do then we are more apt to make changes. Looking forward!!!!

  4. I've done resolutions for years, as you say they tend to be broken very readily. The first image is so accurate. I try to set goals, and work at them incremently so that I don't feel overwhelmed. Some I reach, some I don't...like that extra 30 pounds I'm carrying around. I'll keep at it though and maybe someday!

    Have a great day!

    1. I did the same for ages and was always feeling defeated. With goals - you haven't dedicated yourself as much.
You'll get there - slow and steady wind the race!!!!!
      Have a blessed one.

  5. You know I never thought of the fact that we are going into the 20's. one hundred years after the roaring 20's. I am iffy about resolutions as I usually fail, but I try every year and get through most of the year, sometimes..... never tired of trying.

You are a super goal oriented person - you did fantastic with yours.
I don't have as much oomph as you - but I keep moving forward.

I just want us all to know - even when the worst happens - life IS worth living. We must honor those that are gone.

  10. I am putting a list of goals together, more to remind me to stay on track and for a little motivation. They are more general, but hopefully effective. I may need to add to to take things too seriously, as it woll all work out eventually. :-)

    1. A list of goals is good - if it keeps you motivated and on track. Nothing wrong with that. Hopefully we can all motivate each other this coming year as well.
All things work as they are supposed to in my mind. Maybe not everyone believes that - but for one reason or another we are successful or not. Just me!!!!
      Good luck!
