Spring is Coming and we are Moving Forward

Hello all - hope this finds you well.  Tomorrow will be officially spring.  YAY!!!!!  I sure hope the weather changes for the good from here on out.  It is 40* this morning, so that is a plus.  It looks like decent temps and warmer days for a bit here.
A nice bouquet from the garden before the cold weather and snow hit.  I still have some in a vase - they last and last.  One of the first signs that spring is coming - they give us cheer and hope.

I hope as the weather changes for the best - we do too.  May we all do things and say things that brightens a day for someone else.  May we all do just a little more for the world.  May we all take care of nature.
Winter is going or gone - thank goodness.  Whatever it brought is done and now spring gives hope the life returning to everything around us.
I hope you all have a wonderful spring season.

I am going to a late breakfast/brunch with an old friend.  I may do a bit of grocery shopping tomorrow, only to pick up some specials.  They are having customer appreciation days - and my special coupons are good only through Friday.  They have some good deals on those.  Looking forward to airing the house again and turning off heat, as it will be warming up.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.  Enjoy the first days of spring.
May you have lovely weather.

  1. I'll believe winter is over when
    I see it!!!
Here in florida we have had record breaking temperatures.
    In the eighties and nineties
    since February.
We moved all our plants and seedlings out of our greenhouse .
Roses were blooming, peaches and plums too.
    Than bam.
We had hummingbirds show up like looking for our feeders.
The honeybees were out in abundance sunning at my birdbaths.
    Poor babies. I'm keeping positive
    But....

    1. It will happen!!! I know lots of people having cold and even snow in places that it isn't normal. We keep going up and down. I THINK maybe we are on the right path now. We do have a chance of frost and even freeze here sometimes up into early May. Hope that isn't the case this year. Happy and positive thoughts!!!!!

    2. Woo Hoo! I got my 1999 washing machine repaired. It was a hose on the inside of the machine. I called the same guy who did a repair 7 years ago. Very honest and inexpensive. He is going to retire in 2 years and no longer even has business cards because he has so much business. Thankfully I had saved his card! I’m thrilled.

  3. Lovely spring weather! A nice day to go to brunch with a friend.

Happy to see the back side of winter. Think we'll put the snowblower away next week so we can sort out the garage.
    Enjoy your weekend!

    1. The flowers are done now, as the snow and cold killed them - but they sure were pretty. I hate so many still have snow and cold. I hope we are approaching the end of this thing called winter!

  5. We had a lovely day here yesterday with the temperature teaching 50F/10C. It is supposed to be warmer still today before we have a bit of a cool down. We do and probably will get more snow at least once or twice more but spring is definitely on its way.

  7. The cold front zapped the forsythia bush and the tulip tree's first blooms which was sad to see because it was full but they should be fine. I hope you have a great time with your friend and enjoy the weekend.

  8. Some of my daffs recovered from the cold! They're still blooming and look ok, though others are flattened. No idea yet on the azaleas but I saw lots of brown when I was out there earlier. Not encouraging but there's always Next Year! The nighttime teens are gone, now nights will be in the 30s and 40s F. Days are maybe even going to 60s and 70s!

Nice to go to brunch with a friend. :) Glad you had a good visit.
