Hello everyone. Lovely day in the neighborhood here. 60*F outdoors and 75* in the house! Windows now open, birds are singing, and kitties all fed. A very pretty spring day.
We often feel cheated, we often feel sad, we often feel loss - but we also feel joy, and happiness, and we have the bestest memories ever!
Hang on to those memories - what a gift it is to be able to have them.
I think we should spend our lives doing the best we can, not just for ourselves, but to honor others. I believe the spirit of all our loved ones is still with us, and we need to do good in their honor.
Smile more often. Help more often. Enjoy more often. Spread love more often. Laugh more often.
Just be the BEST you can be my friends.
Be the good memory someone else has one day!!!!
I hope you all have a lovely day and a fantastic weekend!

Amen! Hugs as I know this day holds lots of emotions 🫂❤️
ReplyDeleteIt does - but a lot of good ones, as well as bad. I know where my sweety is, so that is comforting.
DeleteLife does go on - we need to make the most of it.
What a fine post! Saved the illustration too. Yes, there are good and bad, happy and sad anniversaries. We all get to try them out. Hugs for you.

Thanks. Life gives us quite a potpourri of emotions and feelings. We manage through them all - and we come out stronger.
DeleteI can't believe it has been seven years already. Big hugs to you Cheryl. Thank you for all of your reminders about slowing down and truly embracing life and cherishing all of our blessings.
ReplyDeleteThanks - I know. Sometimes it seems like yesterday and some days it seems like forever. I just cherish them all - and trying to make new memories each day. We are truly blessed.
DeleteThanks Cheryl, I needed this post! Not Bossy
ReplyDeleteYou got it! Glad it reached someone needing to hear it!
DeleteWow! Well said! Anniversaries such as the one you are experiencing today can be very bittersweet. Sweet because you had the privilege of being married to Glen, and bitter because he is no long physically with you. All three of my brothers are gone and I wondered how their wives coped. Pinned both posters to my Quotes board on Pinterest.
ReplyDeleteTake care, my friend.
Losing a loved on is so hard. Take care of yourself today, Cheryl, and enjoy your memories.
