Hello to all and a happy New Years Eve to you all. I hope this finds you well and safe.
Weird to think on the other side of the world - it is already tomorrow!!! LOL
It is a bit warmer this morning. Woke to it being right at 32*. It is cloudy looking right now, but I understand we may see a little sun. Looks like maybe we start the year with a bit of snow. Maybe an inch or so. Then come Friday we start another warming trend - mid to upper 30's and then 40's again.
Today at noon (I believe) at the Children's Museum they have a count down and ballon drop and celebration (tons of things to do), so the young ones don't have to be up late to have fun. That is pretty neat.
Many have hung on by a thread this year - some with health issues, family problems, money problems, mental well-being, etc. I pray that each one of those folks has a much better 2026.
Never give up!
Yep - appreciate it all, big or small. Some day you will look back and realize that what you had was a wonderful gift and nothing was minor!
I really do PRAY for you all - and I wish you all the best new year.
Health, happiness, joy, appreciation, love and good days with family and friends.
I look forward to a new year of ideas and tips from all of you and hopefully we can all go forward and learn to be our best person ever in every way!!!!
Stay safe and have a wonderful evening and a bright and happy new day!
HAPPY NEW YEAR - WISHING A BLESSED 2026!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy New Year, Cheryl! Thanks for all the posts this last year, keeping my spirits up and faith strong. :)

Oh, how sweet. I am glad to be a tiny part of that and of your life.
DeleteHappy New Year!
Happy New Year! I can't wait to kick 2025 to the curb ;-)
ReplyDeleteI bet - I wish you both a healthy and wonderous New Year!
DeleteHappy New Year, Cheryl! I’ll be staying home. I’m not a party person. I’ll probably watch the New Year’s fireworks on TV from London (Sky News) at 7 p.m. and most likely I’ll be asleep by midnight.
ReplyDeleteI tallied up my December expenses and now will look at the year overall. It’s been an expensive year but I’m doing fine. I am building a decent amount into my 2026 budget for household repairs for this old house.
It was a chilly morning (for us) but it’s a bright, sunny day here. Tomorrow will be nice. I’m looking forward to 2026.
That is cool - I never really thought to watch another countries festivities ahead of time.
DeleteGlad things are working out the house - we all need to revise budgets now and then. Investing into your home is a very smart investment.
I am looking forward to this new year as well. Hope it is wonderful for everyone.
Happy New Year Cheryl. Thank you for always being so uplifting and positive. I am so happy to have you as a friend. May 2026 be a good year for everyone.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I appreciate the sweet words. I so love having you all here with me.
DeleteHappy New Year
Wishing you a wonderful and blessed New Year! I follow a friend of Erin's on Instagram and when he posts, he always starts with "Every day is good serving Jesus". We are not ones to stay up and I've noticed that the new year arrives even though we are not awake to greet it. I'm sure we will hear all the fireworks in the neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteSee you tomorrow!
Thank you and the same to you. What a wonderful statement.
DeleteYou are very correct, the new year starts just the same if I am asleep - and I am sure I will be, unless getting up to potty!
Happy New Year and I will be a more frequent commenter now that I have a new to me Mac Mini!
ReplyDeleteThank you and YAY!!!! Love to have more people to comment and post. Have a happy 2026
DeleteThank you for gracing us with your sweet ways, common sense, and love of the Lord. Blessings to you for a great new year, and to fellow readers.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words. It makes my heart sing to have people appreciate what I do.
DeleteHappy New Year
Happy NY Cheryl and I know I hardly comment but I read your blog every day and it is a nice inspirational place to visit. Even in my retired age and on the other side of the world I do pick up some hints and ideas from you.
ReplyDeleteThank you and to you as well.
DeleteI love that you are here and it is so fun to have people from all over the world. That is just awesome in my book.
Happy New Year. Like you I am sticking to the house tonight and enjoying a very quiet evening.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Thank you and to you as well. Staying in and staying safe and just loving our little lives - nothing better.
DeleteHappy New Year! Yes, my boss let us off a half a day and I am so happy to be home in my warm house!!!! The sun was brightly shining and ai went on a thirty minute walk at 2:30 pm. I think it had reached 59 maybe 60 degrees here so we are on the rise temp wise! Yay!!!! I hope I don’t get any emergency work calls tonight, and everyone stays safe. Cindy in the South
ReplyDeleteGlad you got some time off and hopefully no emergency calls. I hope you get to enjoy the holiday at home as well. It is always nice to be in a cozy warm home and just snuggle down.
DeleteThank you and happy new year to you as well.
Happy New Year, Cheryl. Onwards and upwards!
ReplyDeleteThanks and the same to you. Yes mam - looking forward to a good year.
DeleteHappy New Year Cheryl! I'm glad you are staying warm!
ReplyDeleteThanks you and the same to you. As warm as can be - you stay warm and safe.
DeleteHappy New Year, Cheryl!
ReplyDeleteThanks and to you and yours!
DeleteHappy New Year Cheryl! I,too, was asleep by midnight.
ReplyDeleteWhy change up the cycle - it was just another night.
DeleteHope you have a wonderful 2026.
Happy New Year, Cheryl! Thanks for always sharing your wisdom and encouragement here. I'm looking forward to sharing this space again with you in the new year.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the sweet words. I hope the year goes well for you and your family and life brings you smiles.
DeleteHappy NY Cheryl and to everyone who reads along with me! I was asleep by 10, woke up at midnight, then back to sleep until 6. Stayed in bed because, well, I could nothing much going on today. a day of rest, if you will.
ReplyDeleteThank you Barbara and the same to you. Your evening sounds much like mine. I did wake while turning over at midnight - heard a few fireworks, and then back to sleep.
DeleteI think today will be a quiet one here as well.
Wishing you a fun and frugal new year.
ReplyDeleteThank you and you as well.
DeleteI rang in the New Year with a terrific 5 mile walk. It was lightly drizzling, 35F w/ZERO WIND! It was lovely.
ReplyDeleteThen it was time to fill the freezer: 6 peppers bought from the "too old and bagged up for $1.00 were chopped up and frozen for future unstuffed peppers dishes. 2# of ground beef were cooked up and taco seasoned and ready for meals. 1.5c black beans were cooked and frozen in 1c dishes. I did splurge yesterday for my favorite bread at Costco- cranberry walnut. Half is in the freezer and we're nibbling away the other half. I also got a 5# bag of organic Peas-hubster loves them and can eat a well cooked veg so this is his preference. Before Christmas I had purchased a ham for $0.87/pound. It has been sliced up and frozen in 1# packages now, after eating away at it for a week. I got a 12pk of Hawaiian rolls at Kroger for $1.08. 8 are in the freezer and today we each had 2 with ham or jam alongside fresh farm corn I had cut off the cobb and frozen when hubster was in the hospital in October. It tastes like it just came out of the field. His other favorite veg. And as always, our farm fresh eggs :-) $4/dz and I'm good with that! They are yummy.
There is plenty of food for meals and we shall nibble away to our heart's content. I've put on 4 pounds eating carbs with hubster as he's been gradually allowed to eat more variety including breads now. I have got to get a handle on that!!!!
Happy New Year everyone! May you enjoy each day gifted 💗
Nice way to start the year. 5 miles in the cold is a bit much for me - you are starting right.
DeleteYum on all the foods - it all sounds yummy. I am so glad hubs is back to being able to actually good food. I bet that is so wonderful to him, and he will never take food for granted.
I think we all put on pounds over the winter - you will get a handle on it.
Thank you and a super healthy year to you both.
Happy New Year Cheryl! I wish you all the very best in 2026. Thank you for praying for us.
ReplyDeleteHNY to you both Belinda. I sure try to keep everyone in prayer. You can't have too many!
