Be You - It Is ENOUGH!

Howdy to all.  Hope this is starting out to be a good day for everyone.  It is chilly here, but there were pretty colors in the sky this morning, and a tiny sliver of moon to be seen.  The kitties were all hungry and are now playing and 'learning' to hunt.  It is so cute to watch. The sun is shining!
We will have another 50*+ day today - then by tomorrow afternoon things will change.  So, this girl is going to enjoy the nice day all that I can.
Last evening the western sky looked to be on fire!  This was looking out my living room window.  Isn't that something?  The picture really doesn't do the colors justice.  I am such a sucker for sunrises and sunsets - the painting of the heavens by God.

I have been reading many blogs and FB posts and seeing Vlogs, where people feel like they are supposed to keep up with everyone else.  They think they are supposed to do ALL the stuff others do and have what others have.  It is wearing them down.  NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!!!
You do NOT have to keep up with anyone.  You are an individual, and you make your own choices.

I like to think this way.  Here we are in our neighborhoods, in our towns in our states - in this big old country (or where you live).  We are a part of this earth; thus we are part of the universe.  That is pretty amazing to me - I would say that makes each of us pretty unique.  You are important, and your thoughts and ways are important.  God made you, just like He made everything else this world, that is pretty special in my book.  The world needed one of you!  Pretty cool.

You may have more than others; you may have a lot less.  Be proud of whatever you do have and of what you do.  Your achievements are that you are here today. Be proud of every lesson learned, every scar you have and every step you take.  All of that makes you unique!!!!

Live YOUR best life!  That doesn't have to mean having lots of money, or having children, or having a fancy career, or having it all.  It means living the life that makes you HAPPY!  It's YOU!

You have managed to make it through every year up to now!  That is big.  You maybe just hung on by a string and maybe you just barely made it through these past years - but you did.  You have more strength than you think you do.  We can do and be and live a nice quiet life and be tremendously happy!
I don't need/have fancy things, I don't need to be on the go all the time, I don't need to live up to others' expectations, I don't need all the noise!  I just need my sweet little life, doing my thing and I can be very content and happy.
YOU CAN TOO!

It doesn't mean that you just stop - progress is always a good thing.  We all make progress in our own way and time with all kinds of things.  Just remember progress does NOT mean perfection!
It means being your best you, it means being happy, it means being kind, it means just living your best life.
You got this!  Have a great 2026.

Have a wonderful and blessed day.

  1. Hi Cheryl. 2026 started a bit rough for us but hopefully will continue to get better. TBG was in the hospital the 5th-7th. For the last two months he's had visits with his PCP and then multiple visits and tests with the orthopedic center. They were all saying it was his hip and may need a hip replacement. The treatments were steroids and heat. The pain in his leg continued to get worse and finally the admitting doctor said it wasn't his hip but a deep contusion from a trauma to his leg at his tae kwon do school. We knew this but couldn't get anyone else to understand. I'm thankful he is on the mend and finally finding a doctor that would listen and think outside of the normal arthritis diagnosis. I am also thankful for a stocked pantry so that I could take him meals instead of him eating that horrid hospital food.
I've caught up on all of your posts but don't have time to comment on each one. How cool all of the cats find your house.
Thank you for always being a place I can come to for positive thoughts.

    1. So sorry to read this, Lori. Though very glad to hear you found a doctor willing to listen and that he's on the mend.

    2. I hate that TBG and you have had to go through all of this. Just a good reminder that doctors don't know everything and they are not always right. Sometimes we just know things!!!!
I am glad he is on the mend. You know that all we be OK with the home and that is comforting as well.
I don't need a response every time - just glad that I can help people stay positive in some little way.
You both take care and hoping the progress continues.

  2. Prayers for you and your DH, Lori. It's tough when the docs don't hear what we say. Glad you finally got one who did. :)
