Happy, happy Wednesday all. Mid-week again! It sure is flying by. Today, just an encouraging word for all. We all need those from time to time.
I just want to thank you all for being here. I have a great group of supporters here. I love how caring and loving everyone is - to me and to others. We seem to be growing - slowly - but growing. I love that.
I love how we keep this a place a goodness, joy and peace. There is enough anger, stress and worry in the world. We all need an oasis for SMILES and encouragement!
There is always some light out there - somewhere. Never, never be consumed by the darkness.
God gives us a chance/gift each day to get it right. To appreciate more, to love more, to be more thankful, to live more, to give more, to laugh more - just a chance to be better.
Be joyful and go forth. The more we do this, the more light there will be. Spread joy - spread it like butter - it is worth so much.
Be thankful for everything.
Today I am thankful for another new gr.gr nephew! Miles is perfection and healthy.
I am thankful for being able to walk out in my yard and get food.
I am thankful for those little cherry tomatoes - it is like popping handfuls of vitamins each day!
I am thankful for rain - we got more yesterday than any single day since April!
I am thankful for my sweet, darling kitties, that give me joy and love each day.
I am thankful for wonderful and helpful friends.
I am thankful for my wonderful family.
I am thankful for all the wonderful "family" I have here - yes, you are all like family to me.
I am just so thankful for everything.
Make sure you take a moment or two or three today, and every day, to be thankful and grateful for even the smallest of things.
Life is truly glorious and it is a GIFT.
Be the light, be the sunshine - for you and for others. It is contagious!!!!!! That is something we should all be trying to spread!
Have a wonderful and blessed day my friends.
I am now going out to pick some 'grow'ceries!!!! How cool is that?
I start every day with a list of thanks for all the glorious, simple gifts of this life. And I know many, many of us are thankful for you and your blog. Lynn Ewing
ReplyDeleteI start and end each day that way as well. God is so good.
DeleteThank you so much Lynn!
It really is so important to be thankful every day. Congratulations on the birth of little Miles! Babies are (part of) God's way of keeping hope alive in our minds and hearts. It's also so important to hang onto HOPE. Never let anyone take that from you.
ReplyDeleteThis week, our youngest came over twice for dinner and a shower. His septic system was having problems and he was feeling pretty low about... well... just everything. I told him about one morning a few days ago when dawn was determined to break through the dark clouds filling the sky. It was amazing to watch. And a lesson that daylight can't be stopped; each morning the sun always dawns. Some days brighter than others. Yesterday his septic system was pumped out. All fixed.
Thank you, Cheryl, and everyone here, for making my days a little brighter. I gain strength here. That's a simple truth. One I'm more grateful for than words can express. --Elise
Oh... and sunflowers are a favorite flower! Thank you!
DeleteElise I am sorry your son is feeling blue. You ae so right - no matter what is happening, that sun is going to come up each day. It may not be seen brightly - but it is there ALWAYS - that is a promise from God.
DeleteThis place makes my days brighter as well. I have gained more strength from you all than can ever be imagined. It has given me purpose. That is so important.
New babies are just precious gifts. I can't wait to snuggle him!!!
Excellent post! All the whiney b*tts need to sit up and take notice! Actually I don't think you have any of those types of people reading your blog. Boy howdy, we were glad to have the rain! Today is cloudy and a good day to work outside.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new gr-gr nephew!
LOL - no I don't think we have any of those here. Not that I have seen. I have been out off and on today. Much cooler.
DeleteThank you!
I read this as grace.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!

DeleteThank you - I just think we all need peace and calm each day. At least for a few minutes.
We are so blessed! I never have to look far to see others that have lives that are less abundant and peaceful than mine! Each day I wake up..blessed! Put my feet on the floor.. blessed! ETC!
ReplyDeleteCheryl, we love you and thank you for enriching each of our lives!

DeleteThere is no subscribe place to have this come into my email which I would really prefer. Can you help me with that? That is how I could keep your interesting web site for many years. Now I cannot find it to have it that way again. Please help. Yes I did do the icon on my desktop but i always preferred you come in on the email. Can you help me there????
ReplyDeleteI thought you went to the upper right side where the pics of followers are - hit follow and answer questions. I do seem to remember a spot where it said send emails - a while back. I will research and see what I can come up with. Blogger has changed so many things in the last few months - I am not sure any more. If anyone else has an answer - please help!!
DeleteYour light and sunshine are always contagious!! Thank you so much for your gifts of love, wisdom, and illumination! May these blessings be returned to you at least 10 times more! It's wonderful news about sweet Miles!
DeleteLinda how sweet. That makes my heart happy. I get so much more than I could ever give. Thank you so much
DeleteThank you, Cheryl, for your blog. Yours and several others have seen me through the darkness of this last year, through my beloved sister's illness and passing. I always could turn to the uplifting and positive blogs like yours.
ReplyDeleteI think that is why I am here, and many others. God has put us together for a reason. I know that darkness, and these dear ladies have been there. We all lift each other every day. God bless. Thank you!
DeleteAlways grateful here for the wonderful friends I have met through blogging, and the wonderful people that surround me.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
AMEN. Life guides us where we need to be and with whom.
DeleteBlessings!
Thank you Cheryl for bringing us all together with your positive and inspiring words. You are a ray of sunshine and I always look forward to your new posts. Glad you have a new baby in the family and that you are getting rain. We are finally getting lots of rain here in Arizona which makes my plants and yard so happy!
ReplyDeleteWe have a few Arizona gals on here now! Neat. Glad you are getting rain - yes, it sure makes those plants perk up and shine.
DeleteThank you and I love having you all here.
I'm a day late to the party, but wanted to thank you for this post. This sentiment is what got me through some dark days. A good friend always reminded me to open the gift of the new day that I've been given and be thankful. It became kind of a mantra as I healed. You've written it better than ever and I am grateful for your kindness and friendship. Wishing you continued blessings.
ReplyDeleteAmen. Yes, each day is a gift, and not using it wisely and appreciating it, is so sad. Gifts are precious - no matter what they are. There is always a light after the darkness.
DeleteThank you dear for being here and always being a kind friend.
Thank you for this and all your lovely posts
