Enjoy the Journey

Hello to all.  Here we are midweek again!  Time flies when you're having fun.  Gosh, this month is just about done.  It truly does seem to be flying by.
Warmer again this morning and the sun is out for the moment.  The skies are really dark north of me - supposed to rain sometime today.  Better than snow!
I have been out to feed this morning.  Licorice was chilling in the greenhouse, slow to get up.  Must have had a busy night!  Saw 2 different kinds of woodpeckers, nuthatches, and so many others.  They air was full of singing this morning.
I love this.  Yes indeed, life is a journey - one that is special to each of us.  You have no reason to compete with anyone!  You do you and follow the way that your heart leads you.  Life is special and it is fleeting, so the best we can do is to live it as realistic as we can for ourselves and our immediate family.
The world is full of hate and bad behavior today.  People think nothing of being rude and saying hurtful things behind their 'screens'. That is truly sad.  The computer leads to a lot of anonymity, so people think they can say whatever they want.
You know I don't appreciate that - and will not oblige.  If you come here and are rude or hateful, I will delete.  This is to be a happy place, a place of encouragement, and place of smiles, a positive place.  That is my goal.  I want to educate, help, and uplift people in the moments that they need it most.
I try to let people express themselves, but there are boundaries.

So, whatever you do today - be kind, not only to others, but to yourself as well.
Know that you are worthy of goodness and joy.  Know you are beautiful and one of a kind - so be the best you that you can be.
We are just like grains of sand in this universe - and each grain is special and different.
That is what makes the world and life beautiful.

You go out there and spread joy - please!  You continue to have a good heart and help others.  You continue to grow and learn.  You continue to be a light to others.  You continue to work on your little piece of the world.
You can do whatever you put your mind to.  I am POSITIVE of that!

Have a beautiful and joyful day.

  1. Good Morning Cheryl. I’m amazed at all the hate being spewed. No one can agree to disagree these days. I hope you have a very joy filled day! 🩷

    1. That is the truth! Don't agree or like something - just move on. We don't have to voice it!
      Thanks - you too.

  3. Your positive posts are a blessing to all of us. As the old saying goes, "Scratch your mad and get glad.". Positivity breeds more positivity. If you can't say something good, be quiet. Negativity eats at your gut and causes all sorts of health issues, not only mental problems. Negative, hateful people need the Father. He will deal with them, not our responsibility.

A small rainstorm just covered our house. Very brief, gone now. Off to do some marketing. Enjoy your day!

    1. Thanks. Yes, yes, yes and yes! Negativity just eats the body and soul. I may not always have the best of days - but there is light in each of them.
We had a sprinkle so far - that is about it. SMILE

  4. AGREED! Dad died when I was just 33yo. The positive that came from it was/is appreciating every single day I wake up, even when it's 0340 like today. Make lemonade! And Mom died when I was 46. I've been an orphan for nearly 19 years ;-( I don't take anything for granted.

    Happy Wednesday ya'll!

    1. Each day is a gift and we need to appreciate each and every one. I was 30 when my daddy left this world and 48 with momma. I understand. I miss them so much. Can things be better - sure. Can they be worse - you betcha!!!!
      Smile today!

  7. I'm learning more and more how each day truly is a gift. People do indeed need more kindness. It is sad that they are not getting what they so desperately need. I think that is why they reach out in nastiness. Nice to know at least you and a few others try your very best to spread positivity throughout your world.

    1. It is a gift - so many didn't get. I don't know why people need to be nasty - must be something missing in their lives. I just know that making someone smile or gifting a little joy makes me feel 100% better. I like to think it keeps me healthier too.
      Thanks

  8. Such a true post !!
I always have told my kids they need to have a well informed opinion on different subjects, it’s the when and how to express those opinions that’s the hard part. Some people just never learn to keep their opinions to themselves.
I did want to comment on yesterday’s post but ran out of time. Lots of great ideas in that one and I agree wholeheartedly that soup is the ultimate budget stretcher. I am now feeding 6 people lunch everyday and without soup and bread being served I’d be lost.
I just went to drop some books off to the free table and found a lovely little donkey and cart ceramic planter just like the one my Nan had on her kitchen window sill.
All is good in my world, happy memories and warm feelings. Take care, Louise

    1. Thanks. Yes, I have always thought it funny, that negative people really think that others care about that negative opinion!
If you can't say something nice - say nothing at all is what I was taught!
That is a great way to feed several people. Soup can be made so many ways, and I truthfully don't know anyone who doesn't like it. A nice hearty lunch.
How sweet to find a keepsake that reminds you of someone special. Glad you found it it. ENJOY

    1. That sure seems to be true for me as well. I feel so fortunate to be here, so I intend to spread joy if I can and see the positive. Negative comes easy - positive takes work to find!

  10. So much joy and happiness if one is inclined to see. There is hate and negativity, and I see it among my family members, I just ignore and carry on with my life. I can't let them rule the way I live. Just like they don't understand how we can live a relatively frugal life, I can't understand how they can live such a hate filled, negative one.

    God bless.

    1. Boy oh boy is that the truth. I think somewhere in every family there is the member with negativity. You just have to turn it off.
I laugh because I have members of my family that think I am this poor vulnerable lady, who can't possibly have much extra money, because of my frugalness. I just laugh and go about my business.

  12. If you can't spread happiness, keep to yourselves! Rudeness seems to be having a moment, and I want no part of it either!

  13. It seems these days that the world
Is indeed full of nothing but evil, greedy, self serving people.
But we have to remember that
there are lots of wonderful people
    here too.
Oh you won't see them on the news.
You won't find them at red carpet events.
You will find them quietly helping an elderly neighbor get to the grocery store.
They can be found fostering unwanted
animals . Donating their time and money
To help others without any fanfare .
To all of you good decent people I want to say thank you.
    Because you remind me God's
    people are here too.
Let us all go about our day today
    and perform a small kindness.
    Let's keep doing it !
In these small ways we can affect changes in our communities.
Cheryl you are a breath of fresh air.
I love your blog and your followers.
Never any nasty hateful comments here.

    1. Wonderful sentiments. You know I am a fervent believer in God, therefore I believe in evil as well. I truly think many have sold their souls to the evil trying to make themselves better. It isn't working as the public sees it. I will trust in God and all He promises, myself.
Thank you for your words. I appreciate my friends here.
