I will probably be busy for the next couple days getting ready for and entertaining company. I will more than likely not be back on here to post till Sunday.
We have had ups and downs this past couple weeks with G's brother. We are again in one of those down times. Continued prayers would still be appreciated.
I wish each and every one of you a happy, healthy and prosperous new year. May your coming year be filled with lots of wonderful things, and may we all learn new hints and tips from one another. I am looking forward to doing this blog for a whole year and learning from each of you.
God bless you all and please stay safe!
I think this little poem says it all.
May our home
Be a haven
May our home
Be a harbor
Where we find
To sail the sea

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy New Year Cheryl! Happy New Year Nancy! Happy New Year Laurie S! Happy New Year Neal (?) ! Happy New Year to all who have been here sharing this year, it has gotten me through some long weeks, knowing I could come here and read what others are doing in their lives.ReplyDelete
For me the year is split into three parts: holidays from Thanksgiving to Christmas to New Years, then the gardening months, then the fall months of crafting.
Here is what we do each year after Christmas, from Three Kings, a blessing for the home, during Epiphany:
May we who live in this home guard the sacredness of this doorway. May God protect all who enter and leave from this doorway. May we welcome all at this door in the name of Christ. May the blessing of God and His peace and grace rest upon all who shall pass across it.
The we write above the doorway in chalk: 20 B+G+M 15 for the year (next year it will be 16) and B is for Balthasar, G for Gaspar and M for Melchior.
The marks are left on the doorway until cleaning the house for Christmas of the next year.
That is a very cool tradition. I have never heard of that. Blessings to you and yours!Delete
